Additional Information and FAQs

First off: I love custom orders! If there is a colour combination you've been dreaming of, send me an email and we can work out a special order, just for you!

I take great care in washing each skein to ensure colour-fastedness and to rinse out as much excess dye as possible. Brighter colours (deep reds and blues) may still come off on your hands or bleed, but it would be minimal. It is recommended to hand wash in cold water separately, and air dry flat to preserve the colour intensity and longevity of your garment.

Yarn is a natural product, therefore no two can be alike. There may be joins and/or slubs occasionally and this is part of its natural beauty. It is not uncommon to have 1-2 joins in milled yarns, and all of the yarn I dye is hand selected and carefully inspected before shipping to fall within these guidelines. Please take care in opening your package to avoid cutting the yarn.

Hand dyed yarns can vary skein to skein even if from the same dyelot, this is what makes them unique. To reduce the chance of differences between your skeins, please be sure to order enough yarn for your project. To further reduce differences, I recommend alternating skeins every two rows in larger projects.

Great care has been taken to represent colours accurately, but colours do vary monitor to monitor depending upon settings. Some yarns, because of the fibre content, will not take the dye as readily or as intensely as others. The end result is a yarn with the same hue, but a few shades lighter. I always try my best to get my items to resemble the pictures, sometimes due to the yarn base it's just not possible. Please ask me questions about your yarn before ordering if this concerns you.

All items come from a smoke-free and clean, pet friendly home. All of my yarn is kept away from the pests, I mean the cats. ;)
